well firstly here is the baby stuff i was working on when i last left you all i used a grate pattern from The horse town hooker and the pattern works up quick and you could make it really personal the pattern is easy and well written so here is what i made

I aslo used 2 different booties pattern both which can be found Here and Here
the blanket is still being worked on too and is just a normal granny square made with a size 7mm hook.

Im also working on cardigans at the mo whitch take some time but have found some lovely patterns that look grate at the end.

Iv been so busy of late iv lost track of everything im doing so sorry if no of this make sense .....

im in love with sparkly wool at the moment and trying to find things can use it in (its not hard lol) and have been making a granny square blanket with it

Schools out!!

Hello again

Well i have been so busy lately and thought id get up to date with what iv been making and show you some things i thought were cute.
my daughter just left nursery so we decided to make some gifts for all the teachers and the helpers.

I got this pattern from Ravelry it was meant to be a bookmark but i just did the apple bit and added a key ring whith a photo bit that we but a message in saying thank you for helping me grow. They turned out really cute and all the mums from other nursery's i know now what them too for gifts for the kids teachers lol

This was the apple i made for my daughters key worker along with a rainbow star scarf, chocolate, a plant pot painted buy my daughter with all the stuff to grow daisy's in it

I loved this scarf and i came out so well i will post a pattern for it when i get a chance i love it and will be making more of them i think as there so popular.

I LOVE THIS CRAFT!!!

Well the teachers all loved there gifts and my daughters teacher cried bless her but they deserved them so was lovely to make them.

Iv also had so much fun making these granny striped headbands form tangled happy i really love these there quick to make and work up fast. The only thing is in England the wool i think is allot thinner so the first came out a bit tight so i used a slightly bigger hook and instead of doing a chain then sc i used a sc foundation chain to the number required and found this gave it more stretch the pattern is so lovely i make alot of these for autumns friends and help to stop my daughter from getting ear infections in the winter so have a look at her patterns there lovely

Iv been feeling a bit festive of late (probably due to my daughter watching the snowman dvd every day lol) and got inspired to make a snowflake garland. I found this pattern on Ravelry and gave it ago it works up fast and have since had people ask me to make them one too going to add bells to the garland to make it extra festive cant wait  watch this space for the finished item with all the other crimbo stuff i cant wait to make.
I love to make unusual things and saw this pattern by creativeyarn for crochet jewellery i fell in love with it and decided to make my friend one as she loves anything bright coloured and this just suited her.

Next time i think i will put a sparkly button or something to give it a bit of bling but she loved it and wears it all the time.

I also made her a multicoloured star garland that i made using a pattern (that i now cant remember were it came from but have found someone elce who also makes them) to make a granny star take a look it looked grate once i had rearranged the colours properly in to a rainbow but didn't take a pic of it corrected but now looks grate in my friends house in her window.

I then went and made a heart garland using this pattern buy sarahndipities it looks amazing and get a lot of comments about it its very quick to make and takes little to no effort so a lovely crochet project for a beginner

And finally thought id give you a sneak peak of what im doing at the mo more to come soon

This was a heart mat photo prop for a photographer friend  i know who has asked me to make some photo prop for her to play around with. It came out grate but cant find any were that sells a wool like it and have no idea were it came from or what make it is as it didn't have a label when i bought it off eBay. Its really thick and is dusky pink in colour was lovely to work with just wish i could find something similar here will have to keep looking.

Well thats all for now off to finish some more goodies.
I hope you've enjoyed looking and keep checking back for my strawberry baby beanie hat pattern iv made im very proud off it just a few more tweaks and will be perfect as well as some keyrings i'm making for a charity close to my heart cant wait see ya soon

bye for now.

The things iv made since july 2011

Hello again well id thought id start off buy showing you the things iv made since iv started crocheting in july last year as its been over a year now since i started this amazing craft.

You've seen the blanket i started when i first started witch i ended up completely undoing and making a new blanket from as i thought it looked messy i then gave it to my friends whose baby came early and she was so pleased and so was i.
I don't have a pic to hand of the blanket but there was one taken with the baby so need permission from the mum first. but it ended up being a blue and white striped granny square blanket and looked grate.

I then went on to make some hats from a pattern i got of Crochet Geek her you tube vids are amazing very clear and informative.
I made the first one for my daughter but made it a little bit big and have since re worked it but looks the same but now fits better

This was the end result of the first attempt

I liked it and so did all my friends lol so made some more which looked so much better as buy this point i had time to practice here are a few pics of some of them i made

I made these in different sizes and colours which looked really cute. what do you think?

I then went on to try to make a cardigan for my little girl which i was so proud of and now have quite a few orders for lol. I used a Free red heart pattern which turned out really nice my daughter chose the wool which was a self striping wool i have no idea of the brand sorry but here is how it turned out.....

what do you think?

For my first ever cardigan i was very pleased and learned alot from it. My daughter loved it and has worn it allot and gets comments on it were ever we go.

I also thought id put in what i made my daughter for her world book day

she went as little red riding hood she had the only home made outfit the teachers all loved it and said how was sad that no one made there costumes any more. but all the kids looked grate bless em.
So what do you think?
Just had to share with you as it was prob the first thing i had made from scratch in years on my sewing machine lol again very proud.

Over Easter i made some little gifts for autumns school friends. I used a pattern from Ravelry Click Here. its a grate little pattern and very quick here how they turned out

these looked so cute and will deffo be making lots for Easter next year and im sure if i have my way every season going lol so watch this space .......

I also made my mum some slippers for mothers day again using a pattern and tutorial from Crochet Geek on you tube here is how mine turned out i altered the top to make them girly and added a flower again on her website and on you tube have a look ..

my mum loved them and i posted a pic on Teresa from Crochet Geeks facebook wall and she was very pleased and so was i.

well i hope you enjoyed looking and will post what ive made recently next time.

see you again soon.

A little about me

Hello and welcome to my blog as i'm new to this i will let you know a little about me and why iv started this blog.

My names Victoria im 27 i live in south Croydon with my husband and little girl autumn who is 4.

I'v been crafting since i was little and have always been in to arty things rather than anything academic lol.

I went to collage and studied A level art and a Btec national in fashion after this i decided to have children and get married to my hubby.
In 2008  my daughter autumn was born and since have taken up many hobbies to keep me from going mad like making cakes ect.

I'v been baking since i was little and was taught buy my nan. as much as i loved to make cakes iv always felt its a very competitive market and i missed making clothes and gifts.

So in july last year i decided to take up another hobby and bought a crochet mag witch came with some wool a 5mm crochet hook and some knitting needles.
i tried to read the patterns in the mag but found it so hard as i had no idea what any of the terms meant so i decided to look for some tutorials on youtube and i found a lovely lady called taresa from Crochet Geek Click Here her tutorials were so good and helpful and was soon crocheting like a mad woman.

 This was my first project

And i made some of these for some friends who bought some off me last year
 another pattern from Crochet Geek

As they say the rest is history and this blog is so i can show people what im making /have made and want to make.  my daughter is going big school in September so have to do something with my time and thought this would be a grate adventure and use of my time.

I hope in the future to make some patterns of my own .
I also will be linking an etsy account to this too as am going to sell some of the things i make.

Anyway i hope you like my posts and cant wait to see what the bloging world has in store for me and hope you will join me on my adventure were ever it takes me lol speak soon
